Why is it important to disaffiliate from your organization?
DENOUNCE
Disaffiliating from your respective IFC or Panhel organization denounces its contribution to the oppression of minority students on Duke’s campus.
DEFUND
If you are an active member or alumni, you are funding a social hierarchy that disproportionately favors white, wealthy, cis-gender, and heterosexual students.
DEMONSTRATE
The growing number of disaffiliations demonstrates to Duke that this is a very real movement and we will no longer tolerate social exclusion.
Yes! As an alumni of an IFC fraternity or Panhel sorority, you still maintain an "alumni status." Check with your respective chapter's rules and guidelines about how to disaffiliate and take the first step to show your support for this movement.
